The telecommunications company ENTEL has entered into multiple strategic alliances with Bolivian universities to advance digital innovation and literacy.

In late September 2026, ENTEL partnered with Universidad Privada Franz Tamayo (Unifranz) to foster youth talent and develop practical digital solutions through joint initiatives in research, development, and digital security. Álvaro Bazán, Chairman of the Board of ENTEL, noted the alliance allows young talent to participate in technological evolution by “generating solutions for societal needs.”

Following this, ENTEL signed a separate agreement with the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) to promote internet security, data protection, and technological development. This partnership seeks to combine academic expertise with ENTEL’s technological capabilities to support Bolivia’s digital transformation and promote responsible digital citizenship.
