British band Enter Shikari has released a surprise single titled ‘Higher Ground’. The track, which incorporates electro-rock and rave elements, was recorded during sessions for their album ‘Lose Your Self’ and finalized during the summer.

Frontman Rou Reynolds noted the song explores the necessity of gaining a broader perspective to find clarity during difficult times. The release follows the band’s unannounced album launch in April.

The single arrives as the group prepares for an extensive arena tour across Europe and the UK, beginning in November with dates in cities such as Hamburg, Munich, and Nottingham. This activity precedes an announced indefinite hiatus starting after 2027, which the band cited as being due to mental health challenges and industry changes. On Instagram, the band indicated that the hiatus could result in either an “explosive comeback or a permanent end.”
