Major technology companies are deploying specialized AI agents designed for enterprise environments. 

In late August 2026, Cisco began a global rollout of MyAgent to approximately 90,000 employees. This tool utilizes Cisco’s internal platform, Circuit, to orchestrate various models including Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini. The agent is designed for “supervised autonomous execution” across systems like Outlook and Jira. Cisco executives noted that the large-scale implementation has been a difficult transition, described by Liz Centoni as “surgery without the drugs.”

Following this, Extreme Networks announced the general availability of Extreme Agent ONE Coworker, an AI agent focused on enterprise networking. The tool aims to assist IT teams by shifting from reactive troubleshooting to proactive management through a “Nudge” function. To mitigate security concerns regarding autonomous AI, the agent provides visible reasoning alongside its recommendations to allow for human validation. 

Extreme Networks stated the solution can resolve network problems up to 15 times faster than traditional methods and includes conversational tools designed to reduce new engineer onboarding time by up to 50%. Nabil Bukhari, CTO and President of AI at Extreme Networks, noted that the tool is built to understand the specific complexities of a customer’s unique network environment rather than relying on generic AI models. The rollout specifically targets regions such as Southeast Asia and India.
