In Legnano, approximately 30 volunteers participated in the third edition of the ‘Puliamo il fiume Olona’ ecological day to remove waste from the Olona River near the Castello area. Organized by environmental associations including WWF Insubria, Legambiente, and Plastic Free, the initiative collected over 600 kilograms of waste.

Organizers reported a decrease in abandoned urban waste due to awareness campaigns, but noted a concerning rise in abandoned special waste, such as rock wool and plasterboard from construction materials. During the operation, local police were called to secure a gas cylinder found in the vegetation to mitigate fire or explosion risks.
