Romania has seen a series of environmental conservation and waste management initiatives. In September, the ‘Let’s Do It, Romania!’ campaign organized a National Cleanup Day, mobilizing hundreds of thousands of volunteers across various counties to collect waste from natural areas and public spaces. Notable participation included large groups of students and teachers in Botoșani and Gorj.

Following this, local efforts continued in October with specialized programs. In Hărman, organizations launched a collection campaign for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), providing services for items such as televisions and computers. Additionally, the third Corbu Cleanup Day was held at Corbu Beach to promote coastline protection through community action.
