Major infrastructure projects are underway in Erzurum, Turkey, to enhance the region’s capacity for sports and international training.

Renovations are being conducted at the Kiremitlik Tepe ski jumping facility. Technical upgrades include replacing concrete surfaces with wooden cladding over steel to mitigate temperature-related deformation. While the K20 and K40 ramps are finished, work continues on the 125-meter ramp. The facility is also being outfitted with ice and irrigation systems to facilitate year-round training.

Simultaneously, construction has begun on a new sports complex near the airport. Managed by the Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ), the project includes a 20,000-seat stadium designed for winter conditions, a 5,000-capacity indoor sports hall, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. The complex is scheduled for completion by January 2028.
