The cooperative horror game Escape the Backrooms has reached a significant player milestone, with reports indicating the title has been played by over 10 million to 12 million people since entering Early Access in 2022.

To celebrate this achievement, publisher Secret Mode and developers Fancy Games and Blackbird Interactive announced the ‘After Party’ update, which is scheduled for release in December. This update will introduce three new party-themed levels while maintaining the game’s core horror elements. 

In preparation for the December launch, a selection of free and paid cosmetic skins is expected to be released in October, allowing players to customize characters or dress as entities.
