Featuring pianist Eren Yahşi, the performance included Sibelius’s ‘Valse triste’, Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5. This event was part of a seasonal initiative to feature award-winning conductors to support professional development and public musical engagement. On October 25, the orchestra presented a ‘Legend and Future’ concert to commemorate the 200th anniversaries of the deaths of both Ludwig van Beethoven and Carl Maria von Weber. Conducted by Gürer Aykal with pianist Başar Can Kıvrak, the program included Weber’s ‘Oberon Overture’, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3, and Edward Elgar’s ‘Enigma Variations’.
