# Establishment of Poland's AI Commission

The Polish Sejm has moved to establish the Commission for the Development and Security of Artificial Intelligence (KRiBSI) to oversee the implementation of the EU AI Act within Poland.

Following a positive opinion from the digitalization committee, Pamela Krzypkowska was elected as the chair of the commission. Krzypkowska, who has experience at Microsoft and the Ministry of Digital Affairs, will serve as a liaison between Polish companies and the European AI Office in Brussels. 

The commission is designed to assist businesses with classification and legality requirements, offering legally binding opinions within 30 days. Its objectives include managing regulatory sandboxes, providing legal clarifications, and addressing citizen complaints regarding automated decision-making.
