Stade Rennais striker Esteban Lepaul has drawn significant interest from Premier League clubs Everton and Leeds United, as well as Aston Villa, Brentford, and Brighton, following a productive season in Ligue 1. While Everton is reportedly in a leading position for a potential recruitment, Rennes holds a strong position due to a contract running until 2030.

Amidst this transfer interest, Lepaul has been ruled out of the upcoming Ligue 1 match against Strasbourg due to a left ankle sprain sustained during a match against Paris FC. Coach Franck Haise confirmed the player's unavailability, noting that while the injury is not considered extremely serious, his return timeline remains uncertain. Lepaul, who has earned a senior call-up to the France national team, is currently the top scorer in Ligue 1.
