European agricultural funding is being made available to various Romanian production sectors through specific agency-managed programs.

In August 2026, the Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR) released guidelines for floriculturists to access funds for the first time under the DR-18 measure. This program offers up to 100,000 euros per project for farm development, machinery, and storage. However, producers have noted that the 5 million euro budget may only reach about 50 out of an estimated 5,000 floriculturists, and that eligibility is restricted to legal entities rather than individuals.

Concurrently, the Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) opened a funding session for wine producers under the 2023–2027 Strategic Plan. This initiative features a total budget exceeding 11 million euros, split between investments in assets (IS-V-02) and sustainability-focused production (IS-V-07). Project grants for wine producers range from 250,000 euros to as high as 1.5 million euros depending on the complexity and category of the investment.
