The LEADER program is being utilized across various European nations to facilitate rural development through local cooperation and targeted funding.

In Greece, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food established new guidelines for Local Action Groups under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plan. These guidelines focus on local and transnational cooperation schemes designed to achieve strategic local goals through measurable actions and the transfer of expertise.

In Austria and Germany, the program is actively supporting regional projects. In Austria, the LEADER-Region Mostlandl Hausruck provides funding for initiatives in agriculture, the economy, and nature conservation, including renewable energy and circular economy projects. In Germany, the LEADER-Region Schwalm-Aue has distributed significant funding for diverse community needs, ranging from youth initiatives and sports facilities to fire department equipment.
