The PRECISE (Predictive Relationships Explaining Cancer Genetic Interactions and Synthetic Essentiality) consortium has been launched to advance precision oncology across Europe. Co-founded by Human Technopole, the initiative involves over 30 research groups from more than 20 institutions across nine countries. The consortium aims to move beyond descriptive cancer mapping to create predictive models that identify genetic vulnerabilities and therapeutic targets. By integrating functional genomics, experimental biology, and artificial intelligence, PRECISE seeks to explain the biological mechanisms driving tumor dependencies and forecast them in unexplored tumor contexts.
