An analysis by AirAdvisor has identified the Barcelona El Prat to Amsterdam Schiphol flight route as the most stressful in Europe for passengers. The study, which evaluated 26 major routes based on factors like delays, cancellations, and weather rather than safety, assigned the route a stress score of 75.1 out of 100.

Between September 2025 and August 2026, the Barcelona-Amsterdam route saw 7.02% of flights delayed by over an hour, 0.83% delayed by more than three hours, and a 2.93% cancellation rate. Variable weather in Amsterdam was noted as a contributor to passenger anxiety. Other high-stress routes identified include London Heathrow to Amsterdam, which had the highest cancellation rate at 3.69%, and Manchester to Dublin.
