During a General Assembly in Copenhagen, the European Football Clubs (EFC)—formerly the European Club Association (ECA)—appointed new members to its Board of Directors.

Menno Geelen, the general director of Ajax, was elected to succeed Dennis te Kloese. Geelen, who also serves on the UEFA Club Competitions Committee, intends to focus on areas including talent development, the growth of women’s football, competition formats, and financial sustainability. His appointment received unanimous support from the KNVB, the Eredivisie, and Dutch clubs participating in UEFA competitions.

Additionally, Aleksandar Aleksandrov, president of Ludogorets, was elected to the board. His election represents the first time Bulgarian football has held high-level representation within the organization.
