Preparations continue in Burgas, Bulgaria, to host the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest. Logistical efforts focus on enhancing air, rail, and bus connections, including increased flights to Burgas Airport and improved routes such as the Istanbul-Sofia connection. Physical preparations are underway at the Arena Burgas sports hall and the ‘Eurovillage’ site near the Burgas Port.

To support these efforts, the Bulgarian Government has allocated over 4.8 million euros to the Burgas Municipality. This funding is part of a broader 20 million euro budget intended to cover infrastructure, transport, accommodation, logistics, and national promotion. A significant portion of these funds will target technical requirements at Arena Burgas, specifically regarding acoustics, theatrical layout, and equipment. The municipality also plans to conduct a test event at the arena to ensure readiness.

Public transport provider Burgasbus is also expanding English-language information and plans to implement English training for staff in early 2027. While media speculation previously suggested that security concerns in the Black Sea region or diplomatic pressure from the UK or Spain might relocate the contest to Sofia, Bulgarian National Television (BNT) and officials have denied these claims, maintaining that preparations are proceeding according to plan.
