The “Eventi in Jazz” music festival is scheduled to return to the Varese area, specifically in Busto Arsizio and Castellanza, from October 2 to November 20, 2026.

Under the artistic direction of Mario Caccia, the program includes performances at the Teatro Sociale and the Cinema Teatro Dante. The festival features a variety of acts, including a tribute to guitarist Franco Cerri, the Area Open Project, and a swing-focused evening with Ray Gelato. Additional performances in Castellanza include an all-stars formation led by Davide Pannozzo and a tribute to the jazz of Emilio Soana.

As the festival progresses, the Area Open Project is set to perform at the Teatro Sociale on October 10. This ensemble, composed of Claudia Tellini, Patrizio Fariselli, Stefano Fariselli, Marco Micheli, and Walter Paoli, intends to honor the legacy of the Italian band Area by mixing jazz, rock, and avant-garde sounds.

In conjunction with these cultural activities, the Fondazione Comunitaria del Varesotto is emphasizing the importance of physical spaces in community building. During the “OPEN! Studi Aperti 2026” event, Marika Arena, a board member of the foundation, noted the significance of the foundation’s headquarters on via Orrigoni and the Teatro Sociale as “vital community infrastructures” for urban regeneration.
