Evo France 2026 in Nice serves as a venue for major competitive fighting game events and industry showcases. The tournament includes the Street Fighter 6 Premier, a qualifying event for the Capcom Cup 13 where players compete for Capcom Pro Tour 2026 rankings or direct qualification for a $1 million championship.

While the event faced scrutiny regarding its prestige due to the absence of top professional players Arslan Ash and MenaRD, the tournament also functioned as a platform for game updates. Developers used the event to showcase new builds and characters, such as Arc System Works presenting mechanical changes to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls and the preview of the character Angstrom Levy for the game Invincible VS.

Following the event, Arc System Works and Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the full Year One Characters & Stage Pass roadmap for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Featuring artwork by Peach Momoko, the roadmap outlines four DLC additions: Phoenix Cyclops (November 2, 2026), Thor (Jane Foster version, Winter 2027), Venom with a new Klyntar stage (Spring 2027), and Jubilee (Summer 2027). The Jane Foster version of Thor will feature a theme composed by Keiichi Okabe. Producer Takeshi Yamanaka stated the inclusion of Phoenix Cyclops was intended to provide “fresh visuals and an unexpected fighting style.”

Arc System Works confirmed that the DLC content is accessible via the Year One Characters & Stage Pass, which is included in the game’s Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions. Players also maintain the option to purchase individual elements separately.
