In October 2026, various events and discussions marked the first anniversary of the conclusion of Expo 2025 in Osaka.

To celebrate, the “EXPO Beat Jam” event was held at Universal Studios Japan featuring performances by artists such as Atarashii Gakko! and Kobukuro, alongside collaborations between the Expo mascot, Myaku-Myaku, and various Universal Studios characters. Additionally, a limited-time official pop-up store was scheduled to open in Tokyo.

Simultaneously, Osaka Metro announced the ‘Myaku-Myaku Osaka Metro Collaboration Festa’ at Yumeshima Station, which includes LED displays of fireworks and the sale of new merchandise. Following the event's conclusion, regional transit efficiency has become a topic of discussion; analysts have noted that the cessation of the ‘Expo Liner’ rapid service has forced travelers to make multiple transfers, leading to calls for new direct services to meet tourist demand.
