Recent reviews have highlighted several new releases within the extreme and heavy metal genres.

Initial coverage focused on Temple Guard, a metalcore band from Nottingham, which released ‘Citadel in Flames’ via Eco-Defense Records. The album incorporates elements of hardcore punk, thrash, and death metal, addressing themes such as ecological collapse and religious dogma. Additionally, the band Noctule released ‘Extinguish Thy Flame’, an album inspired by the video game Elden Ring.

Subsequent reviews featured the Swedish duo Zornhau, who are scheduled to release a self-titled atmospheric black/doom metal debut in 2025. In Germany, Bosparans Fall released ‘Götterspiel: Namenlose Tage’ via Gottesrache Records. Described as ‘Role-Playing-Metal’, the album utilizes melodic death, black, and pagan metal to continue a fantasy-themed trilogy.
