Former Palermo captain Fabrizio Miccoli officially retired from professional football following ‘The Last Match – Miccoli Legends Game’ at the Renzo Barbera Stadium. The event, which drew between 15,000 and 20,000 spectators, saw Miccoli’s legends team secure a 6-0 victory against a team of television artists.

Notable participants in the match included Filippo Inzaghi, Amauri, Josip Iličić, and Salvatore Sirigu. Miccoli scored during the game, and his son, Diego, also found the net.

The event served a charitable purpose, raising approximately 20,000 euros for the Fondazione Falcone. These funds are designated for the construction of a multi-purpose sports field in the Kalsa district, the neighborhood where Miccoli grew up.
