Sources: 18. Developments: 5. Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker is scheduled to perform in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the Riyadh Season festivities. The concert, themed ‘Return of the Absent’, marks Shaker’s first major public performance following a 14-year hiatus. This comeback follows his surrender to Lebanese authorities in October 2025 and a subsequent acquittal of assassination attempt charges in May. Following the announcement of the initial concert on October 22 at the Abu Bakr Salem Theater, a second performance was added for October 23 due to rapid ticket sales. The ‘Awdat al-Ghaib’ concert featured guest appearances by Kuwaiti singer Nawal Al Kuwaitia and Shaker’s son, Mohamed Chaker. During the event, Shaker expressed gratitude for the reception and praised General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Chairman Turki Alalshikh, calling him the ‘origin of art’ and essential for the survival of artists in the Arab world. Shaker has reportedly signed a three-year contract with Billboard Production Company to manage his future works. Negotiations have also reportedly taken place regarding the potential participation of Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab. During his Riyadh performances, Shaker wore dark sunglasses, which led to public speculation regarding potential light sensitivity caused by diabetes complications. He also used the stage to announce his upcoming song, ‘Omri Al Baqi.’ The musical activities have expanded into a joint tour featuring Shaker and his son, Mohamed Chaker. Following the Riyadh performances, the GEA has announced a concert for both father and son at the Khobar Arena on October 30. The tour is set to continue to Qatar, with a performance scheduled at the Katara Amphitheatre in Doha on November 12. Additional tour dates include a performance in the Dead Sea region of Jordan on November 14 and a concert at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on November 20. ## Claims - Turki Alalshikh announced a second concert for Fadel Shaker as part of Riyadh Season.
