Olívia Aparecida Amaral Silva, a 52-year-old educator and academic director, died following a serious traffic accident on the TO-070 highway in southern Tocantins. The accident occurred near the bridge over the Xavante River between Formoso do Araguaia and Dueré when the vehicle, a Honda Civic, left the roadway and overturned.

Also in the vehicle were her husband, Renato Jayme da Silva—a former State Secretary of Health and former president of Naturatins—and their son, Vitor Faleiro. While Olívia died at the scene, Renato was transported to the Hospital de Referência de Gurupi in serious condition, and Vitor was reported to be in stable condition.
