A 36-year-old construction worker, Fernando Cardoso de Oliveira, died in Juazeiro do Norte after falling from a hotel construction site. Witnesses reported that Oliveira stepped on a roof tile that failed to support his weight, causing a fall of approximately 15 meters from the fifth floor to the second floor. 

WR Engenharia, the company in charge of the construction, issued a statement expressing regret and noted they are cooperating with authorities while providing assistance to the victim’s family. The Civil Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
