Multiple fatal incidents have been reported across Tamil Nadu, involving various causes including disputes and alleged suicide attempts.

In late September, two separate murders occurred. In Chennai, a man was beaten to death following a dispute over a settlement demand related to a 2022 assault case. In the Ramanathapuram district, a former panchayat president was allegedly killed in a land dispute, leading to attempted road blockades by relatives.

By late October, Chennai authorities were investigating further fatalities. In Perungalathur, a woman died during a family altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation involving several individuals. In Puzhal, a driver died after falling from a building; while police suggest the man attempted suicide to avoid arrest for harassment, his family has alleged that police pushed him from the structure.
