An 18-year-old football player for the Corendon Alanyaspor women’s team, Melek Ancın, died following a motorcycle accident in Alanya. The incident occurred around 02:30 on a Saturday at the Dim Tunnel on the Alanya East Ring Road when Ancın lost control of her motorcycle and struck tunnel barriers.

Despite medical interventions, she succumbed to her injuries. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident. The Dim Tunnel has been the site of previous motorcycle accidents, including a fatal incident in February 2026.
