Legal proceedings have concluded in two separate fatal road accidents in Italy involving different circumstances.

In Arzignano, a 50-year-old driver was sentenced to six years in prison for a collision on August 15, 2025. The driver, who tested positive for alcohol, crossed into the opposite lane and struck two scooters, killing two 16-year-old boys.

In Genoa, a driver received a suspended sentence of one year and ten months following a May 2025 accident that killed 22-year-old Sara Marzolino. The driver was traveling at 91 km/h in a 50 km/h zone and was not under the influence of alcohol or substances. The sentence followed a plea bargain and compensation paid to the victim’s family.
