On September 13, a 50-year-old woman, Nadia Di Matteo, died after her motorcycle went off the road on Provincial Road 34 in the province of Palermo. The incident caused temporary traffic disruptions while authorities investigated the cause.

On September 17, two additional fatal incidents occurred in Sicily. In the province of Messina, 16-year-old cyclist Cesare Bonvegna, a member of Team Bike Siracusa, died at the scene after colliding with a car while training on the SS 185 near Mazzarrà Sant’Andrea. 

In a separate crash on the SS 115 between Petrosino and Mazara del Vallo, 47-year-old Francesco Giacalone was killed following a violent three-car collision near Baglio Basile. While the impact was fatal for Giacalone, other occupants in the vehicles, including a pregnant woman and a child, were reported uninjured.
