# Fatal vehicle collision in Kota Tinggi

On September 13, a fatal two-vehicle collision occurred at Kilometer 31.2 of the Kota Tinggi–Kluang road in Johor. The accident involved an SUV that veered into the oncoming lane and struck a Perodua Axia.

Three people died in the incident: a husband and wife traveling in the compact car, Mohd Herwan Alias, 38, and Nur Ezazaya Mohd Ali, 34, and a 58-year-old passenger in the SUV, Mohd Noor Selamat. The driver and front passenger of the SUV sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at Kota Tinggi Hospital. 

Kota Tinggi District Police Chief, Superintendent Yusof Othman, stated that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
