DJ Fatboy Slim, born Norman Cook, has disclosed that he has never received a performance fee for his appearances at the Glastonbury Festival. Despite performing at the event an estimated 100 times since his 1986 debut, Cook stated that he does not charge for his sets.

In lieu of payment, organizers Emily and Michael Eavis provide him with free admission and the opportunity to perform unofficial, smaller sets. Cook characterized the festival as a “utopian society” and a “beautiful human experience of alternative culture” that has not been “tarnished by money.”

While Cook suggested Fred again.. should headline the Pyramid Stage in 2027, the festival recently announced that ticket prices for its next edition will increase by nearly 10%, reaching £408.
