The Fazl Mosque in Southfields, London, is celebrating its centenary after 100 years of service. As London’s first purpose-built mosque, the building was funded by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in British India and designed by architect Thomas Hayton Mawson.

Throughout its history, the mosque has served various community roles, including acting as an air raid shelter during World War II and a vaccination center during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 1984, it became the international headquarters for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Centenary commemorations included community service projects, a street party, and a history exhibition. The celebrations featured a keynote address by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Fifth Caliph and Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, who emphasized that mosques should foster peace and harmony.
