Füchse Berlin’s handball season has been marked by mixed international and domestic results. Following a disappointing performance at the Club World Championship in Egypt, where losses to Veszprem and Al Ahly led manager Bob Hanning to describe the team’s play as ‘mangelhaft’ (insufficient), the club transitioned back to Bundesliga competition.

As the season progressed, the club moved into high-stakes Champions League group stage play. This included a significant matchup against Veszprém HC in Hungary, a fixture where direct matchup points carry over into the main round. While Berlin saw recent success against Porto, the team has dealt with various player availability issues, including the postponed return of Fabian Wiede following a long-term injury.
