In Istanbul, the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM) inaugurated the Women in Innovation Information Center, a facility providing training, mentorship, and coworking spaces specifically for technology-based businesses. During the opening, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır noted that Türkiye leads globally in the proportion of women inventors among international patent applicants and highlighted significant government funding provided through TÜBITAK and KOSGEB. Complementing these institutional supports, the Turkish Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİDER) hosted a networking event in Istanbul aimed at connecting female entrepreneurs with corporate procurement professionals. The event facilitated over 1,300 meetings to encourage supply chain collaborations. KAGİDER Board Chair Esra Bezircioğlu stated that integrating women into corporate supply chains is a strategic move to enhance competitiveness. However, experts observed that many female entrepreneurs still lack awareness regarding available incentives and financing for scaling businesses and e-commerce. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-25: KAGİDER hosts networking event for female entrepreneurs in Turkey KAGİDER hosted an event in Istanbul connecting 185 female entrepreneurs with 57 companies to boost corporate supply chain integration and commercial collaboration. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/kagider-hosts-networking-event-for-female-entrepreneurs-in-turkey ### 2026-10-20: KADEM opens Women in Innovation Information Center in Istanbul KADEM has opened a new center in Istanbul to empower women entrepreneurs through mentorship, training, and investor access, supported by significant Turkish government funding initiatives. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/kadem-opens-women-in-innovation-information-center-in-istanbul --- Cite as: Female entrepreneurship support in Türkiye.
