After leaving her workplace at Shopping Brisamar, the victim was ambushed by the assailant, who struck her in the neck and abdomen. Security footage captured the attacker stalking and following the victim. Despite her injuries, she attempted to reach her condominium before dying at the scene.

Following his arrest and confession, the São Vicente Judiciary accepted formal charges of qualified femicide against the suspect on July 21.
