Fender Custom Shop has announced the release of a Limited Edition George Harrison 1967 Bass VI. The instrument is a meticulous recreation of the sunburst Bass VI used by the late Beatles guitarist during his time at Abbey Road Studios.

Crafted in Corona, California, the model is designed to replicate the look, feel, and character of the original. Features include a Relic Bleached 3-Color Sunburst lacquer finish, a custom neck profile, and hand-wound Jaguar pickups to capture the unique sonic properties of the instrument. 

Chase Paul, Director of Fender Custom Shop, noted that the release honors the legacy of an instrument that occupied a unique space between a guitar and a bass, allowing Harrison to achieve specific melodic depth and texture.
