In mid-September, a larger incident occurred near Estación Marte in General Cepeda, where more than 80 freight wagons derailed and overturned. Unlike the previous event, authorities suspected that strong wind gusts and intense whirlwinds were the primary cause. This accident disrupted a critical logistics corridor between Saltillo and Torreón. No injuries were reported in this second incident.
