Jeremiah St. Juste and Charles Vanhoutte were expected to return to the Feyenoord starting lineup following recent illnesses. Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst indicated a preference for returning to established defensive and midfield structures for the match against N.E.C.

Following his return, St. Juste praised the squad dynamics and atmosphere at the club, describing the environment as something he has “rarely experienced” in his career. Reflecting on a 5-1 Champions League defeat against FC Barcelona, St. Juste noted that the team used the loss as a “catalyst for critical self-reflection” to improve their competitive level, expressing optimism after a subsequent performance against PEC Zwolle.

St. Juste has since emerged as a key leader for the club following a strong start to the season. He has been instrumental in recent successes, including a 2-0 league win against AZ and a 3-2 UEFA Champions League victory over Como. Despite these European results, St. Juste maintains a ‘match to match’ mentality, stating he does not view Champions League victories as more significant than domestic league games as the team prepares for their next Eredivisie fixture against Telstar.
