The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Pakistan has conducted multiple operations targeting human smuggling and visa fraud.

In Karachi, authorities arrested five travelers for misusing Umrah visas to facilitate illegal travel. Some individuals were deported from Northern Cyprus after being moved via fraudulent study visas, while another was deported from Algeria following illegal detention in Libya. These victims were reportedly deceived by agents promising passage to Europe.

Subsequent operations saw the interception of 30 to 40 women at airports who were being prepared for illegal transit to Saudi Arabia, raising concerns regarding trafficking for immoral activities. Additionally, FIA officials in Karachi detained two individuals attempting to use Umrah visas to reach Kosovo as a stepping stone to Italy, using forged residence permits and exit stamps.
