Fidelity Bank Plc has engaged in various initiatives to support Nigerian business sectors. In early October 2026, the bank sponsored the ‘Beauty in the Motherland’ programme in Lagos, an event focused on the beauty industry and women-owned businesses. The three-day event, which drew over 3,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors, featured a commemorative dinner and awards ceremony on October 6 at the Eko Convention Centre. During the ceremony, Managing Director and CEO Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe received a special recognition award for her leadership and the bank’s contributions to the beauty enterprise ecosystem. As the exclusive point of sale provider, the bank provided participating businesses with advisory services, account opening, and payment solutions.

Following this, the bank hosted the SME Quarterly Business Forum, themed ‘Build to Compete: Positioning Lagos Businesses for Sustainable Growth’. During this forum, bank representatives and experts from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) urged Lagos-based Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SMEs) to adopt digital tools and structured business models to overcome challenges such as rising operating costs, infrastructure limitations, and working capital constraints. Jude Monye, Regional Bank Head for Ikeja, emphasized that digital tools are essential for providing accurate data on sales, inventory, and profitability.

To conclude its 2026 Quarterly Business Forum series, the bank scheduled an event in Abuja for October 28. Themed ‘Building Sustainable Businesses, Unlocking Growth, Governance and Opportunity in the FCT’, the forum aims to address access to finance, governance, and emerging opportunities for entrepreneurs in the Federal Capital Territory.
