Sources: 30. Developments: 2. The Fight Nation Championship (FNC) 33 event at the Zagreb Arena featured several high-profile matchups and controversial outcomes. In the heavyweight division, Darko Stošić became the new FNC heavyweight champion after defeating Hatef Moeil via unanimous decision following five rounds. This victory ended Moeil’s eight-year undefeated streak. In the light heavyweight division, Slovenian fighter Miran Fabjan, known as ‘Slo Rocky’, secured a first-round technical knockout victory over former UFC fighter Ivan Erslan. This result served as redemption for Fabjan following two recent losses. Other notable results included a victory for Hrvoje Sep against Ante Bilić via unanimous decision in an extreme boxing bout, and a decision win for Luka Giorgadze over Marko Ančić, which caused tension between the fighters and the audience. Fran Luka Đurić also secured a victory over Bartosz Wójcikiewicz, while Martin Batur secured a victory over Michał Andryszak. The event was attended by various sports figures, including Mirko Filipović Cro Cop. In the middleweight division, Đani Barbir defeated Piotr Strus via first-round technical knockout. However, because Barbir weighed in at 84.9 kg—one kilogram over the 83.9 kg limit—he lost his championship title. The title was declared vacant, and Barbir faced a point deduction and a 30% purse reduction due to the weight miss. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-11: Darko Stošić wins FNC heavyweight title in Zagreb At FNC 33 in Zagreb, Darko Stošić became the new heavyweight champion by defeating Hatef Moeil, while Miran Fabjan secured a major upset knockout against Ivan Erslan. 28 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ani-barbir-stripped-of-fnc-middleweight-title-after-weight-miss ### 2026-09-11: Miran Fabjan to face Ivan Erslan at Zagreb Arena Miran Fabjan and Ivan Erslan are scheduled to face each other in a light heavyweight bout at the Zagreb Arena, organized by the Fight Nation Championship. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/miran-fabjan-to-face-ivan-erslan-at-zagreb-arena --- Cite as: Fight Nation Championship event in Zagreb.
