Colombia is hosting several film festivals throughout late August and September 2026.

In the regions of Antioquia and Norte de Santander, the 11th Jardín Film Festival will focus on the theme ‘Ecos de Voces Silenciadas – Life and death of social leaders in Colombia’, featuring over 20 films and community workshops. Simultaneously, the 9th Norte de Santander International Film Festival (Ficnor) in Cúcuta will showcase approximately 60 short films across various categories.

Additionally, the 14th edition of the CICLA (Cita con el Cine Latinoamericano) festival, organized by the Cinemateca de Bogotá, will run from September 3 to 13. The event is structured into two sections: ‘El pasado, hoy’, exploring historical legacies, and ‘Comunidades en tensión’, which examines social and political environments through the lens of community and territory.
