In November 2026, Indonesia hosted several film festival initiatives. The Jakarta World Cinema 2026 opened with the screening of the Cannes Palme d’Or winner “Fjord,” directed by Cristian Mungiu, at CGV Grand Indonesia. The event was attended by Indonesian Minister of Culture Fadli Zon and various industry figures.

During the same month, the Festival Film Indonesia (FFI) 2026 launched Nomination Week, providing free screenings of Piala Citra nominated films across Jakarta, Palembang, Makassar, and Mataram. Concurrently, the Anti-Corruption Film Festival (ACFFEST) 2026, managed by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), was held across 12 provinces and 42 locations to promote integrity through cinema.
