State-owned gambling operator Veikkaus is preparing for the liberalization of the Finnish online casino and betting market, scheduled for July 1, 2027. This regulatory shift will end Veikkaus’s exclusivity in sectors such as sports betting and online casinos, allowing for licensed competition.

In preparation, Veikkaus has entered a content partnership with Swedish developer Gaming Corps to supply slot games, including the ‘3 Pigs’ franchise. The company also announced plans to launch a new international betting brand, Viabet, on the same date.
