The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has responded to multiple fire incidents across different regions.

In September, the GNFS contained a fire involving several commercial containers at Ebenezer Junction on the Teshie Lekma Road. The blaze damaged various commercial containers, including a vulcaniser’s unit, and required the deployment of three fire appliances from the Trade Fair, Kasapreko, and National Headquarters stations.

In October, firefighters in Takoradi addressed two separate incidents. The first was a warehouse fire at Somoco Company Limited that destroyed 10 tricycles but was prevented from spreading to a nearby mall. The second was a bushfire near Takoradi Technical University, which was reportedly ignited by uncontrolled refuse burning.
