Mexican federal authorities intercepted a shipment of 210 firearms in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, while it was being transported along the Nuevo Laredo–Monterrey highway. The arsenal, which reportedly originated from Texas, consisted of 195 long guns, 15 short guns, and 93 magazines hidden in modified compartments of two semi-trailers.

Three individuals were arrested during the operation, which involved coordination between the Federal Intelligence Agency, SEDENA, SEMAR, the National Guard, and the SSPC. Omar García Harfuch, head of the SSPC, noted that this seizure brings the total number of firearms confiscated during President Claudia Sheinbaum’s administration to over 30,000.
