In Halle, located in the Gütersloh district of North Rhine-Westphalia, a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured following a firework explosion in a wooded area. Two other teenagers, aged 15 and 16, also sustained minor injuries.

Victims alleged that two unidentified individuals in dark clothing threw the firework near them before fleeing. However, police investigators noted discrepancies in these accounts, citing witness reports that only the three injured youths emerged from the woods and the discovery of a lighter near an abandoned e-scooter.

Authorities are investigating whether the explosion is connected to a separate incident of property damage involving pyrotechnics that occurred on a Friday evening.
