Various fishing activities and competitions have been organized across Croatia and Serbia. In Croatia’s Drava region, local associations held a ‘Small Fishing School’ to teach children about fishing techniques and environmental responsibility. Additionally, the Drava Sopje Sport Fishing Association concluded its float fishing league on the Voćinka River, though organizers noted that low water levels caused by climate change impacted competition conditions.

In the Župa dubrovačka region of Croatia, the Big Game Felun 2026 international big game fishing competition commenced, featuring teams based in Mlini and Srebreno. Meanwhile, in Serbia, the 57th International Hunting and Fishing Fair, LORIST 2026, was scheduled for Novi Sad, serving as a regional hub for the outdoor industry and featuring an Ecology Fair.
