The City of Florence has released provisional rankings for its public residential housing (ERP) application process. Of the 3,790 total applications submitted, 2,758 have been provisionally admitted and 1,032 have been provisionally excluded.

Applicants have a 30-day window starting September 24, extending until October 26, to submit necessary document integrations. A definitive ranking will be published once the investigative phase is complete. The administration also intends to open a new application window in the future.

To address the shortage of available units, the city is investing 20 million euros over three years to renovate vacant ERP housing, with 7 million euros allocated for 2026. Housing Councilor Nicola Paulesu stated these efforts aim to “provide concrete responses to families in need and manage emergency housing lists effectively.”
