The Florida Gators began their season with a 44-39 victory over the Auburn Tigers, fueled by Jadan Baugh’s 162 rushing yards and three touchdowns. They followed this with a dominant 52-28 win over No. 4 Ole Miss, marking their first 4-0 start since 2019. In that matchup, Baugh and Duke Clark both surpassed 100 rushing yards, contributing to a 302-yard ground attack.

However, the Gators’ momentum was interrupted by a 45-17 loss to Missouri, where their rushing attack was neutralized. Despite the defeat, Baugh remains a Heisman Trophy candidate, leading the nation with 11 touchdowns.

Following the Missouri loss, No. 16 Florida is preparing to host South Carolina in Gainesville. Head coach Jon Sumrall has noted that the Gamecocks possess the “most formidable roster” the Gators have faced this season.
