Florida State and Virginia are preparing for an upcoming ACC matchup in Tallahassee. Florida State, currently 2-2 and 0-1 in the ACC, is looking for its first conference win following a victory over Central Arkansas. The Seminoles rely on quarterback Ashton Daniels, who recently recorded 377 passing yards against Alabama.

Virginia enters the game with a 3-1 record and a 1-0 ACC standing. The Cavaliers are considered a statistical favorite, with SP+ analytics predicting a 30-24 victory. Virginia features a strong rushing attack, averaging 192.8 yards per game, and will be led by quarterback Beau Pribula.

Both teams face significant roster challenges heading into the weekend. Florida State has added linebacker Noah LaVallee to its ‘out’ list, while running back Samuel Singleton Jr. and defensive lineman Darryll Desir remain unavailable. Virginia is also dealing with absences; running back Peyton Lewis and offensive lineman Grant Ellinger have been downgraded to ‘out,’ and defensive end Devon Baxter is listed as doubtful. These injuries follow previous reports regarding Virginia’s defensive tackle Jason Hammond, who is expected to miss several months due to elbow surgery.
